Wow - this looks amazing and amazingly hard. EOJ has posted some of his thoughts on Cave-STG, specifically that the bullet patterns are reminiscent of Ketsui and that the difficulty is mega hard on Expert. Like Mushihimesama Ultra hard. Which is awesome.
This video shows a Type-C Expert run and you can see just how difficult it is. I'm hooked. I don't think it'll be a day one purchase, but I may pony up for this sooner rather than later.
Yeah - I presonally like the look of the Astro/Egret II platform the best - just so classic. These kinda have a monitor-tated-on-a-desk look to them that just doesn't grab me.
Good work man! Where did you get it from? I did notice of the new Sofia Corp mailing that they have a V-V in stock - for 31,500 Yen - about 390 USD. Damn.
This one comes from Try (Japan based shop). I use STV (on shmups and AO) as a middleman since most Japanese shops don't send international. But, this DDP is more expensive than the first one I bought. Well, happy to get it back! :)
As well you should be - its one that I will never sell.
And just an update here, thrid loc test happened and it seems that there have been very few changes to the overall game - be interested to see if this stays this hard!
This looks so off the heezy!
ReplyDeleteI want that cabinet too! We need to find out what brand that is! I dig the bright red shell!
@gunbird18 It's a New Delta. River Service (Japan) has them http://www.rs2006.co.jp/e/deltanew/index.html

ReplyDeleteI love the Astro's and Blasts (and Egret II's).. But have not much love for these newer LCD-cabinets.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the info, Barry!
ReplyDeleteYou and Boom are not much fun, though! LOL
"Classic..."
What a bunch of old skool nerds! LOL
Totally - I hate new stuff. ;)
ReplyDeleteTalking about old skool, I ordered my second JP Dodonpachi board :)
ReplyDeleteSold my first one and miss it very much.
